I have Power Mac G5 : CPU: 1.6 GHz , 2GB Ram and Mac Os Tiger
When i want boot form Leopard DVD, Panic CPU caller ID error has been appeared and i should turn it down.

What can i do? Plzzzzzzzz :(

What does the Leopard disc look like? Does it look like the disc in the attached image?

If is does not look like that and has a solid gray color, then you might have the restore disc that is only meant for another Macintosh. Those will only work with the Mac that they originally shipped with. You would need the retail version of Leopard (displayed in the image) purchased from either Apple directly or its resellers for it to work properly.

The Leopard discs are dual-layer DVD discs. It's possible that your PMG5's Superdrive doesn't support dual-layer DVDs, hence why you might be having this problem. Check in System Profiler and see what your Superdrive supports. For example, my iMac G5 rev. B shows that it supports dual-layer DVDs.

EDIT: From what I've read just now, it seems that the fact that it's a dual-layer DVD shouldn't matter when reading from the Superdrive. Try some of the options mentioned in that thread and report back.

Have you installed any additional RAM since you purchased the Power Mac G5? Try and install it with only the original RAM that came with it and see if it proceeds with the installation.
