Linux on new iPod nano 2gb...

Before I try it...
If I have Linux on the iPod, can I just plug in my iPod and click "restore" in iTunes to TOTALLY restore the iPod, (so that it is exactly the same as it was when I bought it, (with NO trace of Linux)?

PS. Is there a version that support the 1.1.1 firmware?
 
The best way, in my opinion, would be to make a disc image of the iPod yourself before doing it - that way you can restore the image yourself if anything goes wrong.
