Lion: random photo screensaver not random

I know this is not exactly a matter of life and death, but my screensaver is my photos folder and in Snow Leopard, it displayed a slideshow of random pictures when it kicked on.

After switching to Lion, my screensaver always displays the first photo in my folder first, and THEN displays random photos afterwards.

Is there any way I can fix this? Thanks in advance!
 
A friend of mine who works for Apple HQ submitted a bug report for this. If we're lucky they might deem it important enough to include in a future update.
 
A kludgy solution I came up with was to create a solid black image in Photoshop and place it in my image folder. I titled it "AAA" so that it was first. Now the slideshow seems truly random, it just takes a little longer to get started.
