List View with iDisk

I am on 10.6.2 and my iDisk on the desktop will not open in list view. All other folders allow me to select "open in list view" when I open list view options from the view menu. How do I get this folder to always open in list view?

Is the behavior any different if you open your iDisk from the Go menu (Shift+Command+I) or open a new Finder window in list view and then click your iDisk in the sidebar?

Thanks - From a new finder window, when selecting my iDisk it open in list view (great). When directly clicking on it from the desktop, it opens as iCon view (not great)

What about from the Go menu?

I'm thinking the first thing worth doing is trashing your Finder preferences file, ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.finder.plist.

Are you looking in the correct library, in your home folder?

Found it - deleted it - same issue

Did you log out/in? Sorry, forgot to mention you have to relaunch the Finder to recreate the prefs file.

same same - tried that. My other folders let me select view/show view options/ always open in list view. My iDisk folder only allows always open in iCon view.

The option to always open in list view is only visible when the window is already in list view. So, you're saying even after you view your iDisk as a list and set it to always open in list view in View Options, it still fails to do so?
