little ant in iMac screen...

An ant has actually managed to fit in my computer, and then lodge itself between the light and imac screen, so its shadow is showing now as it moves about on the screen. Any idea how to remove it?

put an open jar of jam near your imac to lure him out.

actually i have no idea without you having to open it. which opens up a whole extra dimension of problems.

i would wait a few days and see if he goes.

and yes, it's male.

If it's under warranty you can bring it in.. Removing the LCD would probably be tricky, and I can't find any guides for it.
Is this a G5, G4, or G3 iMac case?

The pre-iSight cases are much easier to open on the G5 iMacs. If the ant won't move, you can try to take it apart yourself if you're conferrable, or if it's under a year old, or if you have AppleCare, Apple will do it for free. Go to the nearest Apple Store, or Apple Authorized Service Provider
