localized string not found

whenever I right-click a link or a picture, I see some 'localized string not found' messages in the menu pop-up box. How do I fix that problem?

After doing some searching, the only fix I found was to reinstall Panther. Postings on Apple's boards and MacFixIt about this problem.

is that the only way to fix the problem? by reinstalling Panther again? that seems like rather excessive fix isn't it?

Does seem excessive, but it's the only thing I've found on this problem. If you find another way, please let us all know.

Reinstalling Panther desn't take long if you use the Archive and Install option. It just means putting the disks in and some minor pref adjustments afterwards.

well, I just did a full clean reinstall on another Hard Drive....the 'localized...' messages are gone.
