I am building a Mac for the hell of it and I have built many PC's in the past but neevr a Mac so I am not really sharp on some aspects. The only issue that I am encountering is that I have a dual 1ghz processor card that was pulled from an MDD g4. Now that I have the processor card I need to know which logic board is right for me. I have been looking and looking and there are so many different logic boards for the MDD g4 that I am totally lost as to which one to choose. I was hoping that maybe somebody on here would be able to help me out. Please help!!

PS - I have an 80 gb HD that I am putting in now and I want to upgrade to a 120+ later down the road so I would like to also find the board that will be able to handle the large hard drive as well. Thanks!

One place to check on the components used in older Macs is Low End Mac. Find out first what Macs are supported by that upgrade and then search for the Mac in question on that site.

You might also want to check out EveryMac.com.

Each of these places also have links to vendors that sell parts for older Macs.

In all honesty, you might be better off just purchasing a stock Mac since they're decreasing in price drastically since the Leopard release.
