Login does not regocnize my details

Hello,

I have an ibook G4 running the lasted version taht can still run OS9. I was running a program on OS9 and when I quited this program the MAC crashed. I restarted it and got to the login screen. Normally it does not ask me for th login it jst goes straight to the finder window.

The problem is that the login screen does not regocnize my Login name and or password. I have only one login for this mac.
Any idea what to do?

Can you boot on OS 9?

I did something like that--there is a Question Thread on it somewhere--was able to boot on 9, "see" my 10 partition, then copy/burn the data prior to trying to sort it out.
