The Logitech Control Center preferences panel has a few hidden settings (I call it poor interface design) that are pretty neat.

Right-click on the mouse and keyboard images in the panel to set preferences such as Mouse Speed Multiplier (1x, 2x, 4x; 1x default), Keyboard Layout (Mac/Windows), and Status in Menu Bar.

I see speed multiplier, but not the other features.

I've already tried on 2 different macs with two different logitech mice: mx700 and a 2 button + wheel

With just the mouse, you'll only see the Speed Multiplier.
Also, if you Right Click on the little mouse at the top left side of the window, you'll get a choice for Wake on Click.
