lonely mac on a pc network

I have recently started using a mac (panther), while being on a windows domain. I have been able to see the network, except for the domain controller. My administrator has turned on file sharing for mac's, but am still unable to connect. That is an issue, but my main issue is that I need to share documents to a few users that are on pc's (WinXP). I am able to view the folder under a pc in network neighorhood and also with ftp, but the files do not show up. All I get is a single file called .localized. Not sure what to do. ANy help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hey durilai and welcome to the forum.
Did you turn on filesharing and windows filesharing in System Preferences -> Sharing?
A great tool for sharing folders and files is: SharePoints

You might also want to go into /Applications/Utilities/Directory Access and ensure that your Windows Workgroup name is the same as the workgroup you want to connect to.
