Looking for a Laptop/Book Combo Messenger Bag

I just bought a G4 Powerbook(15 Inch) and am looking for a messenger bag/case for it. However, I am looking for one that has a seperate compartment for the laptop and its accessories, and a seperate compartment for my textbooks and regular school supplies. Basically, I am trying to eliminate the need to carry 2 different bags around school all the time. If you want to imagine what I am thinking about, think about a standard laptop case with the securing straps and pockets on side, and then on the other side of the bag, just a standard messenger bag you see people walking around with that fits textbooks.

If anyone can point me in the direction of places that sell them, that would be great!!!

I bought this one while I was at the Apple Store when I got my laptop: http://www.timbuk2.com/commute.t2

At the time it was a last minute impulse buy because I was already at the store 1/2 hour past closing just deciding on which latop to get (went with the 15" PowerBook). Now I'm really glad I have it because I'm helping people with their computers in their homes and it has pockets everywhere. Nice padded sleave inside fits the 15" widescreen perfectly and securely and has a tight velcro strap to tighten it in place. It has a padded bottom and back and I can fit my toolkit, CD wallet, external hard drive, powerbook cables, ethernet cables, telephone cable, food, water bottles, books and notebook/magazines/etc in it all at the same time. Granted it gets heavy. :) But it holds it all well.

My only complaint is that because it is a messenger bag style, it has a tendency to tip forward when sitting on the floor because all the weight is against the back side. Easily overlooked though. I'm sure there are other bags out there as well.

^ Thanks so much! I actually stumbled upon this bag but wasnt sure because its hard to tell from the online picture. Did you also pay $100 for it? Also, is it actually two seperate compartments? Because I just want to make sure my powerbook doesnt get scratched up from textbooks rubbing against it. I want to keep everything seperate from the laptop.....is that pretty much how it is?

At many shops that sell Macs, you can get a soft sleeve, body-glove type bag that the book fits into.

Basically it's a very padded sleeve (sown in, not removable) that separates the laptop from the main bag compartment. There's another zippered section on the inside-front as well which is were I keep things like network cables and power cords out of the way. You wouldn't have to worry about scratching it with books and things in the main compartment. I think I paid $100 for it, seemed like a good price from something as sturdy as it is. I would like to order their strap pad though, the bag didn't come with one.

Used img tags but the image won't show... odd.

I went for a crumpler bag (US site here). I myself went for a plain Messenger bag rather than one of the more expensive laptop-specific one, then just bought a decent sleeve for my powerbook as well. That way i can either put the sleeved-laptop in my bag (which still fits plenty of books), or just take the Messenger bag out on its own. This was both cheaper, and more usefull for me as if you don't want take the laptop out with you, the laptop specific bags have a lot of wasted space in them.

I think the Messenger bag was around $55 and the sleeve around $20.It all works great for me, had it a year and its in perfect condition (as is my laptop, despite the odd accident ;) )
