Looking the ip over in the icq or messenger

Hi, I was looking a software which allow me know the ip of the person who Im chating..or can I do it with the console?
Im sure that in pc they have a program (called trillan) which can look the ip

Hmm, I don't know a special software for that free available for MacOS. But I can tell you the following:

You want get the IP from every person using ICQ. But actually most clients/user will send this info without knowing it :)

You can look up the IP easily using a sniffer like tcpdump (or better netwox) and knowledge how to read the FLAP/SNAP packets of the ICQ protocol.

I'm just writing a app (work fine in alpha stage) that works like a proxy for AIM/ICQ. This app "decodes" the FLAP/SNAC data while passed through it to extract/modify it and the send it recombined away to the server or client. Main reason for that is that you can crypt your AIM/ICQ session while just using your normal chat app.

well...it isnt important..I just wanted to know because I work in a bussiness where I must change my location usually, and then, sometimes I need to get the IP from people of my contact list, and they are in my job too, but in other place. Commonly they arent a computer fan...and they must enter to a router in order to get the IP.

Well...dont worry, publish it in the news here when the app is ready
