Losing memory space on my Mac

So basically I watch a lot of movies/tv shows online. The things is, my Mac keeps being drained of it's memory. I had 13 GB, and over the past few weeks I now has literally zero space left. And I know I haven't downloaded 13 GB of stuff. My parents suspect it's because of when I watch shows online, they're saved to the hard drive somehow. If this is the case, where would these shows be saved to and how would I be able to delete them? I've gone through my temp files and internet cache, but it only brought back a very minimal amount of space. Would there be another place this would be saved to? Or would it just be best if I deleted my whole account and created a new one? Or would that not fix the Mac itself?

Cache(s) take up a lot of space. Download 'Onyx' and do some cleanup.

Also, be advised that 10% (some say 15%) of your total HD capacity should be left empty. You don't state that capacity, but 13GB is not a lot of free space. You might look into an external HD to store your large files such as movies, music, and pictures. They take up tons of space.

Thanks for that link! I had used apps similiar to it but this time the Disk Inventory showed me exactly what was wrong, and I've solved the problem, freeing up 176gb of space.
