Lower third of PB display brightend

Hi. I have a first generation PB G4 400 Ti. The lower third of the screen is extremeley bright making it difficult to read text or use the scroll bars. Could this be backlighting? Any suggestions? Out of warranty...
 
Out of warranty bad. You might have a screen that's going bad, however you might make sure you don't have any speakers or other devices interfering with your screen.

Reset your screen color setting to default and also rebuild your disk with your start up CD that came with the computer. Maybe it's a firmware issue.

If nothing works you might have to shell out for a new screen. But maybe someone else has more experience with this? :cool:
