Our small school has a multi-platform wireless network. We have a Win2K server hardwired (ethernet) to a switch. A SonicWall router and two wireless access points (Buffalo 54 G -wirelessly bridged to another Buffalo unit, and an Airport Extreme Base Station) are also hardwired separately to the same switch. The majority of our computers are Mac OS X, with a few OS 9.1's. We have enabled MAC address filtering for all the access points to protect the network. The problem is... the MAC address filtering does not stop connection to either the network or the internet. I have double-checked all the the access points' software... they say the filtering is on. Is there a chance the switch configuration is the problem? Do you have any other suggestions?
