Hi, I have an iMac9,1 bought about a year and a half ago. Starting a couple of weeks ago, when I turn it on and open Safari the whole screen blocks as it is at the time - except the mouse - and starts 'blinking' every 5 or 10 seconds. I've tried waiting for about 20 mins for it to unblock but nothing changes, and I end up having to turn it off from the power switch and turning it back on. Often after I've done this it works fine the second time, but the next day it just does it again. The problem seemed worse when I used Firefox as a browser, but Safari seems to be becoming equally problematic. Any advice appreciated as I haven't found any answers to this yet - thanks.
