Mac changing permissions on Windows share.

I have no clue who to turn to on this, so I am hoping that someone here can help me. I have a golden triangle setup. Mac use AD to auth and log in. Clients are both PC and Mac. I have a Windows 2003 server and OSX Server 10.5. I have a share that is pinned to the dock on the macs and in that share is a folder that is basically a drop folder. Students can go and drop a file in, but after that can not modify it, overwrite it or delete it. On the PC's this works perfectly. However, on the Macs it realizes that they dont have read writes to the file. It asks about copying the file and clicking continue will copy the file to it, however at the same time, it modifies the files permissions and includes the specific student (I am using security groups now for access)as having modify and read access (you can see this in one of the pictures on the right hand side). Now, if I try to open it back up on the mac it says that it is not alowed, but now the PC has full rights to the specific file. Also, if I try to overwrite the file on the share using the mac, it will erase the contents of the file but the file itself will still exist.
I am trying to prevent it from adding the specific user to the permissions and also prevent it from overwriting the contents of the files. I am almost sure all of my settings are correct in the permissions...attached are screen shots. Please any help would be great.

Ryan

When I attempt to drag the file from documents to the shared folder, the first message I get is:
"You may need to enter the name and password for an administrator on this computer to change the item named (document.name)." Buttons of Stop and Continue are available.
If continue is selected, another pop-up shows up:
"The item (document.name) contains one or more items you do not have permission to read. Do you want to copy the items you are allowed to read? Stop and continue buttons again.
If I click continue, the file will create and if I open the security options on the file while on the server, I can see that the username has been added to the security list and given full rights to the file. If I click stop on either window, the file copys and permissions are NOT copied (this is what I want.) It is not like I can train the users to click stop, because this is a folder where students will submit assignments. If they click continue, then they can at a later time, go onto a windows machine and open the file and modify it with no restriction because the mac gave the user the rights to modify it.

Secondly, if I drag a document to the share and the file already exists on that share, I get a pop-up that states:
"The item (document.name) contains one or more items you do not have permission to read. Do you wan to copy the items you are allowed to read?" Buttons are Stop and Replace. If stop, then nothing happens, if Replace, then the contents of the file on the share are deleted and I get a pop-up that states:
"The operation cannot be completed because you do not have suffecient privleges for some of the items." (OK button is available)

I am fine with the operation cannot be completed message but I need to not have it wipe out the contents of the file when it does this.
