Mac Downgraded upon reinstall

Hello all, last night I had to reinstall my OS due to a major screw up on my part. When I bought the system it had 10.5.1 installed on it I believe however; my install disks are for 10.4.11. I did the previous hard drive and now I can't for the life of me upgrade back to 10.5.

Is there a way to do this through the actual computer? I can see everything from my previous hard drive however; now I'm stuck at 10.4.11.

If anyone can assist, it would be greatly appreciated.

When I got the laptop it came with it already on it from Best Buy. However; for the life of me I don't remember if it was an install that I did or if it came with it preinstalled.
I do know that my recover disks are for 10.4.

There's no way to get it of of the "Previous System 1"?

I can't use a majority the applications that I had installed because they were for 10.5

You can try "demanding" the disks from Best Buy . . . good luck . . . or you will have to purchase them. Fortunately, there are such disks available at a reasonable price.
