Hello,
I noticed that my 320g macintosh HD is saying I have 298GB capacity, but I have 84GB available on the description on my desktop.
If I select get info however in informs me I have 13GB available.

I ran disk utility and it comes up that my HD appears to be o.k

Do I have a HD issue? Is there a way to fix this so it will read properly?

Everything is not OK. You should have at least 10% of your hard drive capacity available as free space. This will allow your virtual memory system to work properly. That translates to 32 GB of your hard drive should be free space. When you drop lower than this threshold, you will have problems. They won't be serious problems, but there will be problems never the less.
