Mac Installer hangs while installing

I was installing the palm software for my Palm Treo and the installer hangs. I am not able to get the CD out nor stop the installer. Any suggestions

Shut down the computer by using the power button if needed. Start the computer while holding the mouse button to eject CD. Then go online to see if that software can even be installed on OSX because I doubt it can.
