Mac is showing wrong time

Hi,

My mac is showing the wrong date and time.
Even though I went to the date and time preference and changed the time zone, it is still not changing the time to the correct one.

Could anyone help me out with how I can fix this?

Yes:

1. Open the Date & Time preferences pane.
2. Click the Date & Time tab.
3. Check Set date & time automatically:
4. Select the nearest time server to you from the drop-down menu. For example, my nearest time server is Apple Americas/U.S. (time.apple.com).
