Until I tried to access this very site (macosx.com) through my PC laptop, which also acts as the host computer for my home network, my Mac connection could go for hours without downloading the whole page (PC based network because i have a satellite connection, DirectWay now Earthlink, that requires a PC as the server/host using USB instead of ethernet= which sucks).
Since I have no problem whatever connecting to this site with my PC, I figure there must be something going on with the network, but it is odd that the Mac seems to connect to other Internet sites just fine but once in a while a site like this one will take a long time to download...any suggestions for improving the network performance of my Mac?
My mac is G3 Blue&White, 350 mhz, running OS X (10.2.0 for the moment), my laptop is a Sony Vaio PC running Windows 98SE, and using Sygate Home Network as the networking software.
