Mac on a windows server

H2OSX

iKnow (sometimes)
I have my powerbook G4 on the window's network at my school newspaper office, and I need to transfer pics and other folders from my comp to the windows ones and vica versa. I used to be able to do this by just opening up the network in finder, but now im not seeing the network that I want. Is there a program that could be used to do this? or some way to connect to it through finder? Thnks

Well, we need a lot more info on your setup. It is impossible to help with something if we don't know what you're using.

Well, for starters things like what version of MacOS are you running? What version of Windows are you trying to talk to?

I've had this problem before also, where computers simply don't show up in 'network', but I can always mount the windows shares using connect to server (apple-k) if you know the computer's IP address. Then you can drop files (mac -> pc) or pull them (pc -> mac) using your mac (this is easier than trying to get the windows box to talk to your mac).

I would also use Apple-K and the smb://co.mp.ip.no unless your network is not yet clearly setup. Does ping between the comps work?
For the way pc->mac you will need to turn on personal filesharing and windows sharing (panther).
You might want to use search on these topics. They have been discussed pretty often by now
