I'm just upgrading from an older G3 Server with AppleShareIP to a new G4/733 Server with Mac OS X 10.1.2 Server. One thing that's noticeable straight away is the length of time it takes to save files to the new server. For example, saving a file from an iMac workstation to the old server takes around 8 seconds. Saving to the new server takes a whopping 25 seconds from the same iMac. Both servers are on the same network and connected to the same network switch. What's going wrong? Any help much appreciated.
