The ibook has classic os and 9.1, i accidentally switched it back and I can't get it back because the computer freezes whenever I startup the computer. The desktop loads, then it's fine. But then a pink-reddish outlined box appears with the half-face and a text bubble icon and the box doesn't say anything, it only has an ok button. but, before you can press the ok button, a bunch of icons load on the bottom of the desktop and it freezes.
Please help.

-Thanks

next time you turn it on, push and hold the 'x' key. this should tell the mac to boot into os x. if that doesn't work, then turn it on again and hold down the 'shift' key. this will force os 9 to only load the needed apple extentions and it should run well enouph for you to use the startup disk control panel to tell the mac to launch into os x. or if you have an os cd (os 9 or x ) put it in, reboot and hold down the 'c' key to boot from the cd. then use the startup disk contol panel on the cd to tell it to start in os x. hope one of these ways works for ya. please let us know.
