For some who may haven't seen yet, here is a web site hosted on a Mac Plus Web Server!!

http://aurejac.dyndns.org/

This web site is also served by 2 floppies only!!

DON'T MISS OUT THE IMAGE GALLERY PAGE

Yes, but the main purpose to visit that site is the image gallery! the whole Mac term in 1984.

You know, I'd post my website address for my Timex/Sinclair 1000 server with 16K RAM Pack (CPU is a 4MHz Z80A), but I'm afraid that one or more people trying to access it might get frustrated at the 300 baud internet connection. HA! It runs on a 9V power supply, a cassette recorder to load and save the web server program, a black and white TV for display, and an old Hayes compatible 1200 baud modem running in 300 baud mode.

I also have a similar site using my HP48 calculator as a web server. No you can't have that address either.

Hey hey! Cool! That would be really cool to try with my ZX 81, what server program do you use? Or have you written your own, hehe ?

It was all a joke, though I think it could probably be done by a very skilled programmer. I read several years ago when I was really into playing with my HP48 that a couple of engineering students connected it to a modem and transferred files and programs from one HP48 to another HP48. The HP48 has an RS-232 serial port in addition to an IR port for sending and receiving data. I also read about putting the HP48 onto a local area network consisting of many HP48s. It also has built-in Kermit server protocol. It's a terrible thing that HP ceased all calculator and handheld operations in mid December. Believe me, I was devastated and LOST when I heard the news. It was almost like hearing that Apple was going out of business.

There is a Mac OS X program called X48 that is an emulator for the HP48GX. I think it's on versiontracker. I use that calculator all the time in Mac OS X. There simply is no other calculator like it.

I don't know if they can be clustered together to get more processing power. I do know that there is a UNIX-like operating system, or shell that allows multitasking. Someone even wrote a GUI similar to the Mac's Finder. I suppose that if the UNIX-like OS and teh netowrking program were integrated together, clustering may be possible.
