Hi guys,
I have a problem with restarting my Mac Pro 2.66 3GB RAM when all USB ports are occupied. It seems that the ports at the front of the machine are the culprits, if I leave my iPod connector cable and digital camera cable left in (no devices attached) and attempt to restart I'll get as far as the grey screen but the darker grey apple logo never pops up.
I remember reading an old issue of MacUser in which a user had problems of the same sort with his Powermac G5. And it was put down to the Firmware.
I have the very latest firmware update already installed and running 10.4.8 fully up to date.
Any help will be very much appreciated.
