Mac shuts down during sleep

Hello all,

My Mac -17" 1st gen iMac G5, shuts down during sleep mode. The computer, when slept manually or on its own, sleeps for a while then shuts off. DOes anyone have any insight as to why this may be happening? Could it be a power supply issue?

Did you ever manage to sort out this problem? My G5 has just started doing exactly the same thing - really annoying. No one seems able to explain or cure it! Just wondered how you got on.

Make sure "Allow the power button to sleep the computer" is checked in Energy Saver options. Also, press the button, then immediately let go. Holding down the power button for a few seconds will shut down the computer.
