MacBook Pro Bulge Problem

That should be considered a defect in materials and/or workmanship - and yes, i would definitely expect apple to fix or replace it!

Apple's quality control......slipping, slipping, slipping....sigh....
Ever since Apple moved its factories to China several years ago, with China's cheap 50 cents an hour labor, 60 hour plus workweeks and its workers getting No benefits whatsoever, overall quality has been going steadily downhill. Exploited, unhappy workers just can't be expected to put out quality work....and screwed-over, disgruntled workers will often, and understandably, do little random acts of sabotage.
Ah, for the good old days when Apple's factories were in Taiwan with superior quality control.
It's a big reason why I'm balking at upgrading to a MacBook Pro. Getting a problem free unit is a total crapshoot, these days.
