I recently had to replace the hard drive in my 2008 Macbook, and after doing so it won't talk to my TV (can't watch Netflix, etc.). When I plug the TV cable into the computer I get "mode not supported" on the TV screen. There is no new software to download, and I tried to change the computer screen resolution with no success. I also tried to change the refresh rate, but the box is greyed out so that I can't change it at all (it says "n/a" in the box). I'm not sure what kind of information other than that would be helpful to you, please let me know and I'd be glad to send it.
