I have a MacBook with OS X 10.4.11 and just recently it has been having problems with the trackpad.
When I click on something it selects it, but then it stays on that. So it drags whatever I've selected wherever I move the cursor next. This means I "Trash" lots of things I don't want to "Trash", it highlights all the text on websites, and it makes typing things into search bars nearly impossible sometimes.
I've tried "cleaning out" underneath the button with a piece of paper, but I don't think that is the problem. I've been told to get rid of my FireFox application ( I use Safari anyway) and that hasn't worked either.
Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated. I am very frustrated.
