I have recently decided to try the AOL "client" versus browser access (easier for my wife to navigate) but when I install it on my os/X 10.3.9 system (with all software updates (including Java) downloaded) I am unable to connect to AOl. I get a connection error (AOL connection ended because AOL host was unable to start a new session).
I am on a Cox cable modem service with a Netgear router/firewall. The mac is connected to the switch with "built-in ethernet" to the Netgear (192.x.x.x network) and the Netgear is then connected to the cable modem. The AOL connection is configured as TCP.
I checked the AOL download and it is the 10.3.7 build from October 2005 that was supposed to fix this problem.
I need your wisdom as to what I should try next.
Thanks in advance,
David
