I have a iMac Intel, when I bought it macosx 10.4.4 was on it. When I worked whit it there were no problems. When I updated to 10.4.6 and want to turn of my computer it toke more time to turning my computer of.
Under 10.4.4 my computer turn of a few second after he gives his blue screen.
Under 10.4.6 I see that blue screen much longer.

Is this problem a bad thing?

Thanks

General rules when updating MacOS X:

Before updating:
Boot from the installation DVD and select the 'Utilities, Disk Utility' menu item. 'Disk Utility' will launch (open, run) and present its window.
In the left side list - click on the Mac's boot drive's icon, then the 'First Aid' tab, and finally the 'Repair Disk' button.
Once finished its process, click the 'Repair Disk' button again.
Once finished its process (and no defects noted), click on the 'Repair Disk Permissions' button.
Once finished its process, click the 'Repair Disk Permissions' button again.
Quit 'Disk Utility'.

Install the update(s).

After installing the update(s):
Launch (open, run) 'Disk Utility' (in the '/Applications/Utilities/' folder). Locate and click on the 'Repair Disk Permissions' button.
Repeat this process once more.

In your case - boot from the MacOS X 10.4 installation DVD, and perform the above mentioned 'Before updating:' instructions.
Turn OFF your Mac, wait 30+ seconds, then turn ON your Mac.
Use the Mac, as you normally would, then turn OFF the Mac.
Does the Mac now shutdown faster?
