Mail and html signature

I'm trying to put an hmtl signature to my e-mails using Mail. Does someone know to do it (if its possible)

Signatures support styles such as Bold, Italics and the lot, if I recall well.

I put a gif as signature but it just appeard as an attatchement when a PC user received it. In theorie I should send an html page with my gif in but I can figure how to do it.
