Mail and HTML

I am trying to use mail as my main email program, but I have a need to have HTML in my signature. Is this possible? If so, how might I go about finding out how this works? The mail help didn't come up with anything for me? Thanks for the help!

What's wrong with rich text formatted signature?

Personally - I would like a filter to put ALL the html formatted mails to trash. 99 % of them are trash or unrequested newsletters, so once mail will support that you could risk being deleted only for that (I believe I'm not the only wanting that filter or trashing all mails containing e.g. hotmail in sender field.)
