Mail and Priority

Is it just me, or does Mail not have the ability to set the priority level of a messege. It seems a pretty universal thing in mail clients (eudora, entorage, etc..), why would apple want to ignore this feature?

Don't get me wrong, I love Mail, but I just had a client ask me to put a high priority flag on any messege I send him.... It was hard telling him that my mail program doesn't support that.

Or does anyone know how to set this?

Apple's Mail.app sticks very closely to the standards for email. Some other email systems, like Microsoft's Outlook/Exchange and Lotus Notes, have a flag to set the priority, but these aren't actually part of the standard and therefore aren't guaranteed to show up as urgent on any given system.

You could try out adding X-Priority: 1 at the top of the message, I'm pretty sure that's the header Microsoft's software uses to mark them as urgent.
