Mail.app doesn't empty junk box

I don't know if anyone else has this, but I've set: Erase messages in the junk mailbox when one day old. But I've still got messages sitting in the mailbox from yesterday. I don't get it. And It's time for bed now, but I'm sure when I wake more junk mail will go in, and none will come out. Is there anything else I should set to make this work?

Those emails will be trashed when 24 hours have past. Check the time stamp on those that you think should be gone. If it is not quite 24 hours old, it will sit there until it is exactly one day old.
