hi,
i recently had to wipe my hard drive and reinstall os X. I backed up my mail folder and after reintalling Os X i copied the mail folder into ~/library.
now my mail boxes are "read only". I have "chown" and "chmod" all day but they are still read only
I created a new mail box from the mail application and gave all the other mailboxes the same permissions, but it did do any good.
drwx------ 7 gigi staff 194 May 5 11:44 newmail.mbox (this is the one created from the mail app)
drwx------ 7 gigi staff 194 Apr 15 12:53 read.mbox
drwx------ 7 gigi staff 194 Apr 15 12:53 web.mbox
