Mail Loses Focus When Junk is Clicked

When reading message headers, in mail, you can easily press delete, then the next message will be hilighted.

I just noticed that mail, on my machine, if you hilight a message then click on junk, the next message is not hilighted. Thus, you have to hilight a message, click junk, hilight a message, click junk etc. I know I can select multiple items, but, what is curious is "junking" a message at a time is now taking an extra step.

This just started happening.

Any suggestions?
