Mail & Safari font (character) problem.

Hi!

I´ve got a problem, just installed Tiger on a machine, then imported all the prefs and users thru FireWire.
Everting works fine, except that all text in Mail and Safari is in arabic or chinese.......like the attatched image.

Can any body tell me how i can solve this. PLEASE!????

In Safari, check the View/Text Encoding > menu item. Make sure that everything is setup properly in the International Preferences pane.

Only based on the original post - you may have a 'font cache' problem.

Consider 'MainMenu' as one freeware way to delete the 'font cache' files. If your situation is not 'font cache' related, using 'MainMenu' will not further enhance the actual problem.

Another way to delete all the 'font caches' [root, current user, other users, and global users] is to log in as root and delete all the folders in '/Library/Caches/com.apple.ATS/'. Some persons will suggest - that you reboot (restart) the Mac after doing such.
