mail settings lost

Hi

I have lost my mail settings at least 10 times during the last month. It has also happened to me before and I am considering leaving the MAIL app behind and buying Eudora. My daughter's email uses eudora, on this same machine, and it works perfectly EVERY TIME!

I just had to fill in again and i am frustrated... I do get the mailboxes bac, thank goodness, BUT the email accounts and servers and passes all have to be entered again for the multiple accounts. Anyway to solve this or get back the old settings easily?

That is not normal behavious of mail.app, sounds like its permissions get broken too often. (The same could happen also with Eudora). Have you tried to fix the permissions?
