Just today, my mail program started to show little boxes just like the explanatory boxes that pop up if you hover over an icon, or in which spelling suggestions will show up.
The thing is, these are showing up if my cursor pauses between lines, and are not explanations or spelling corrections but are advertisements. One said, "The White House is waiting to hear from you," one said something about a product (can't remember what).
What's going on here? How do I stop it from happening? I find it distracting and disturbing!
