Some mac mail I send OS to perfectly legit e-mail adresses is returned as undeliverable, where I have not had this trouble before. Even occurs to adresses I have successfully mailed before. Meanwhile if I send from within hotmail such mail goes through. I'd rather not use Hotmail its a pain.
Unfortunately I can't give an accurate time when this started as I go for quite long spells off air when working away from home.

could be your isp is blocked by the recipient for spam issues. Hotmail is a different ip, so it will be getting by whatever spam blocker is stopping your regular ip. The full header of the returm message will have error messages and text that should tell you what is going on.
