Make text look smoother in OSX & Safari

Have you noticed that text in OSX, especially noticable in the menus and Safari doesn't appear to have true smoothing? Even if you haven't noticed this, make this change and you will notice a BIG difference!

1) Goto System Preferences...
2) Click on the 'International' system preference.
3) On the 'Language' tab click on 'Edit'.
4) Remove all the languages you don't require, I simply have mine set on just English.
5) Log out and back in again.....voila!

I think it is only certain languages which cause the smoothing problem, however I am not sure which. If you find out please post!

erhm... I'm not sure whether to leave this in the howto-department, as it rather looks like a bug on Apple's side or your personal system configuration. It works fine for English and German on my side.

I'll move to Software. On my system with all languages checked and unchecked, I see no difference.
