making a BOOTABLE DVD

Does anyone know if it's possible to create a bootable DVD?

I want to backup my entire OS X installation along with the applications so that I can create a quick fix disk.

same as making a bootable CD. do a search for bootable CDs and you will find some very helpful threads on this board
