making a playlist

i have made many playlist....i just made one for my ipod...and it turned out great...i wanted to make the same one for my iphone but for some reason
when i try to sync it , it shows that its un checked?...what am i doing wrong
like i said i just made it for my ipod....under summary and under options is there something i need to have checked?...thanks for any help...cleo..
i have a 16 GB iphone...3.1.3 version...i have a MAC OS X 10.4.11 version
