Making 'ls' display colors

Hi,

How do I make 'ls' display colors. There is no --color option in Darwin like there is in linux. BTW I am using Mac OS X 10.2.8 with Darwin Kernel version 6.8.

if u check "man ls" u find it.

"ls -G" gives you a coloured output.

Unless you run 10.3, you supposedly have to download a custom version of LS for colored output.

ls -G does not work on my machine, since there is no -G option.
The older link (mentioned in your message) asks me to download a version of ls written by someone, but that person't website does not seem to have it anymore.
