Managed user can't log in

Hi,
I have one 1.4GHz 10.3.9 eMac in a K-2 lab of 24 800MHz 10.2.8 eMacs. After the summer this one eMac will not log in to it's students account, after clicking on the accounts icon it just spins the barberpole under account name forever. It logs into the admin account without a problem. I have the account set up as having "Some Limits" unchecking all options. If I set the account as a Standard account having "No Limits" it works fine there too. I tried that for the 1st 2 days of school and found the computer with nothing in the dock and Internet Explorer as it's primary browser (How'd they figure that one out?). Next I did a archive and install of 10.3 and that didn't help either. I've repaired disk permissions from a boot disk and ran Disk Warrior as well. I've seen several posts around the net referring to the 10.3.9 update, but none with a definite fix for this issue.

oh yea, new managed accounts can't log in either.

Anyone have a clue before I erase and start from scratch?
 
Hi Toke,

Are those local accounts on that eMac?
If they aren't, is the Mac with 10.3.x or 10.2.x Server?
