Memorex dvd-r

Hi my dvd matshita u j- 825 on my imac does not work with the memorex dvd -r it says after recording 20% that it is not compatible.

Any solution for this or i just have to buy other dvd´s ?

The quick fix is a different brand of disk - try Imation or Fuji or TDK - but there may be a deeper problem, ie. the Matshita drive. There are a lot of reports of failures of that brand in Macs. Let's hope it's just the disk brand.
