Hi! I'm trying to price out what it would cost me for the new imacs.

I was looking at upgrading the memory, it it costs the same to go from 512 to either 2x512, or 1x1gb. I was under the impression that its better to go for the one memory card, but seeing the price i might be wrong.

Is it better to have the 2x512, but the reason its priced the same is you have to give up a memory slot?

Also, is 128 mb of VRAM good enough to last a while, or should I upgrade that as well?

Any hellp would be apprieciated!

Thanks!

this is my thoughts. for only 75 to double the vram, it would be stupid not too. and as for the ram, being there are only two slots on the imac, and it cost the same for one stick and a free slot as it does for 2 sticks and no free slots, go for the one 1gig stick that way when you want to add ram in the future, you'll be able to for cheaper ( you'll only be adding a stick instead of replacing one and having an unused stick laying around.).
